Felt so weird handing in my uniform and looking at my spikes thinking I’ll never wear them to compete again.
I was by no means great at track - I was slower and had to work hard to place, but I just love to run and I love being with my team.
Track has honestly become such a huge part of my life and it’ll be weird going on to college in the fall without it.
Between school, track and graduation, life’s been a bit of a shit show lately. But now that I’m on summer vacation, I’m really hoping to bounce back into the fitspo community!
Aaaand, I’ll also be starting the slow transformation into a college fitspo :) Because I’ll be damned if the Freshman 15 gets me.
And I think its time I start posting frequently again because there’s something about running a fitspo blog and all of you that keeps me motivated :)
It’s all I look forward to doing during school. I love being able to kill my town routes every day (2 miles around town because we don’t have a track) and beat almost everyone else doing it. I love that I’ve spread my love of running and track to my little cousin, who decided to join the team this year. And I love that he keeps up with me on the town route.
I love coming home dirty and sweaty and hungry, not because it was a tough practice but because I made it one. I love how proud my parents are and how excited they are to watch me this year.
And I love my team. We’re closer than other any team out there and while we may not be the best, we’ll be dammed if we’re not having the time of our lives out there.
